Freeway: The Best Way to Learn Music!

    Photos supplied by Freeway Music.

Have you always been interested in learning the ins and outs of music? Maybe you have an interest in learning how to play your favorite song on the guitar or learn to read notes and play the piano. Either way, Freeway Music is the perfect place for you to discover and master those talents. With local music schools all around the Columbia area, it is super convenient, as much as it is fun. Freeway offers private music lessons, programs and world class musicians that can be a great source of encouragement and insight.

Their lessons are open to children and adults of all ages and skill levels. So whether you’re interested in learning how to master the piano or try out the guitar, Freeway Music has it all. Following a couple lessons, you will have the chance to perform what you’ve learned at least twice per year at Freeway’s annual recitals and showcases. With locations in downtown Lexington, Irmo, Northeast, and Sims Music, there is one located near you.

Not only does Freeway offer individualized lessons, but they also offer group lessons like the Preschool Music program, which is a great way to get your young child, aged two to four, exposed to the fundamentals of music. The class meets weekly for 30 minutes and offers an energetic, engaging atmosphere for kids to meet one another and ultimately, have fun while learning about music. Another program that’s offered is the RockBand class, which rehearses weekly and gives students the opportunity to meet one another and perform new songs together. This class is a chance for students to apply the skills they’ve learned in their lessons to the monthly performances at local music venues, festivals and concerts.

All the instructors and staff at Freeway are also available for hire. Not only have their skills and studies in music prepared them to teach, but also to perform. For your next event, liven things up with some live music from local performers that will have yours guests dancing along to the beat.
