    Off to the Market

    In keeping with this issue’s “veg out” theme, we’re focusing on all things produce. From farms to dinner tables, SC is an essential grower state that provides organic, delicious produce throughout our communities and beyond. Here are a few produce stands and farmers markets that are a must-do this season!

     

    Forest Acres has a new farmers market! From artisan arts, hand grown and picked produce, meats, and bakery goods, this new market in Forest Acres will quickly become a local favorite! Vendors include Wild Rose Farm, located in Winnsboro, SC, which sells meat, eggs, and honey. 24 Forest Lake Place

     

    Farmers Market Xchange Toms Creek Family Farms opened their storefront late last year. It is hard to miss this family if you find yourself searching for local produce around town. Outside of their store, you’ll find their mobile food market at Soda City and other various locations during the week. They also have stands at numerous markets around town, including the new farmers market in Forest Acres. 912 Lady Street

     

    Rosewood Market is a quintessential Cola market! The market has been around for over 40 years, and has provided our community with incredible art, produce, baked goods, and more ever since. Some of the local items you can find in their market come from local vendors including Bamboo Cottage Distributors, Billy G’s Barbeque, Casa Market Shoppe, and many more! 2803 Rosewood Drive

     

    City Roots Farm grows a variety of fresh produce, but specializes in growing over 11 varieties of microgreens! Their farm delivers across the Eastern United States, and grows produce using USDA Organic Farming Practices. 1005 Airport Boulevard

     

    Soda City Market We’d be remiss not to take this opportunity to celebrate Soda City Market. This year-round market features hand-made and hand-grown goodies from over 150 vendors per week, and over 400 unique vendors throughout the year! Main Street 1600 Block
