    Fresh Face: Alodia’s Cucina Italiana

Step into Alodia’s and immediately feel at home in the restaurant as you would in your own kitchen as you settle in around the table for supper. The warm and inviting atmosphere beckons you to linger over what’s sure to be an incredible meal, if the delicious and tantalizing smells coming from the open kitchen are anything to go by.

With recipes pulled from the pages of his family’s cookbook, proprietor Adam Hunaeu has brought his great-grandmother Alodia’s authentic Italian cuisine to a new generation. The fresh sauces and homemade pasta have enticed family and friends to come together at the table throughout the years and continue to do so today.

“What I enjoy most about it is what happens during the process of actually making the food,” Adam said. “The food is our mission but everyone always gathers around the kitchen while food is being made whether it’s at home or at the store. It’s the conversation that happens, the jokes that are told, the bonds that are made. I think when you take that time to prepare meals from scratch, whether they’re your great-grandmother’s recipes or new recipes, something special is allowed to happen.”

Order one of your traditional favorite Italian dishes from the menu, like Chicken Parmesan, Lasagna, or Baked Spaghetti, and be absolutely delighted by how incredible each of the dishes tastes. Or branch out and try one of the specialty dishes that Alodia’s is well known for like the Bowtie Gratinata, the Chef Special, or the Duck Penne Gorgonzola, all of which have people coming back to Alodia’s over and over again.

“I enjoy the opportunity to meet so many great people from doing this,” Adam said. “Our team is number one to me. The people that I get to work with day in and day out is high on the list of things that I get out of sharing Alodia’s with our guests. I love what I do because of our team. Our culture here is amazing. They are all dedicated to excellence and quality, and I am so proud of everyone on our team. Family is important to me and my wife Betsy and I are blessed to be able to be on this journey together.”
