With each issue this year, Fig has been privileged to partner with Sistercare. This non-profit empowers survivors of domestic violence in Richland, Fairfield, Lexington, Newberry, and Kershaw counties by providing emergency shelter and community-based services.
Alarmingly, South Carolina remains one of the top states in the nation for high rates of domestic violence and domestic homicide.
For Angela Yong Sellers, owner and operator of Fit Columbia in Five Points, opening up a fitness studio was about more than building a gym, but creating an experience; a personal one.
