Shiloh Communities: Where Every Ability Thrives

Meet Columbia's newest nonprofit, Shiloh Communities—an organization dedicated to creating a purpose-driven community where every ability can thrive.

Meet Columbia’s newest nonprofit, Shiloh Communities—an organization dedicated to creating a purpose-driven community where every ability can thrive. Founded by husband-and-wife team Brandon and Ashley Abbott, Shiloh Communities is a faith-based mission reimagining what inclusive living can look like. Their Swansea farmstead will become a comprehensive, welcoming environment where individuals with disabilities are empowered to live fully, create freely, and work in meaningful, sustainable ways. At Shiloh Communities, people of varied abilities are not defined by limitations, but by the incredible potential they carry and the opportunity to grow in ways once thought unimaginable.

New Chapter, Same Team

Located within the Shiloh Communities hive, Shiloh Trading Co. will serve as a marketplace where individuals who live or work within Shiloh Communities can sell what they create. There, you can purchase artisan goods, coffee, small bites, and more.

From candles and pottery to jewelry and handmade goods, every purchase directly supports creators and entrepreneurs with varied abilities, helping them earn income, share their talents, and grow in confidence. When you step into Shiloh Trading Co., you’re not just buying a cup of coffee or a handmade piece of art—you’re investing in people, creativity, and a community built on purpose.
