Camp Cinema | June 3–July 25
Camp is officially in session at Nickelodeon Theatre! The Nick’s Summer Movie Series returns for its third year, with screenings every Wednesday and Saturday through July 25. Families can choose from two films each day, featuring a mix of beloved live-action and animated classics. Tickets are just $7, and this year The Nick is partnering with Curing Kids Cancer for a toy drive. Guests are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys or stuffed animals to support local children and families.
Morning Blend: Jazz Soul and Coffee Series | May 26–June 25
Start your summer mornings on a high note at Morning Blend: Jazz, Soul & Coffee in Boyd Plaza. Hosted by the Columbia Museum of Art, Wednesdays in June series features live performances from bandleader Nicholas Vlandis and a rotating lineup of DJs throughout June. Guests can also enjoy coffee from Curiosity Coffee and breakfast offerings from Drake’s Duck-In.

10th Annual Taste on the River | June 11
Head to the South Carolina State Fairgrounds for a three-day celebration of Asian cuisine and culture. With more than 80 street food vendors and 30 merchandise and anime vendors, there’s no shortage of delicious food, unique shopping, and cultural experiences to explore.
Stomping Grounds Festival | June 13–14
Columbia is a city rich with art and culture. Celebrate arts scene at the Stomping Grounds Festival, a two-day event connecting the community with local artists through music and film. Day one features live music, local vendors, and art galleries, while day two showcases short film screenings, panel discussions, and opportunities to engage with local filmmakers and creatives.
Capital City Cocktail Competition | June 14
Experience the talents of eight of Columbia’s top mixologists at the Capital City Cocktail Competition on The Expansive Rooftop from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Across two exciting rounds, competitors will showcase their creativity and technical skills while crafting signature cocktails. The event also partners with SC Equality to highlight organizations making a meaningful impact throughout the Midlands.
Juneteenth Freedom Festival | June 20
Head to Finlay Park for South Carolina’s largest Juneteenth Festival and Parade from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Juneteenth celebrates the emancipation of enslaved people while honoring their resilience, sacrifices, and contributions. Enjoy a day filled with storytelling, live entertainment, local vendors, food, and community celebration.
11th Shrimp and Grits Fest | June 20
The battle for the best shrimp and grits is back as the 11th Annual Columbia Shrimp & Grits Fest returns. Sample creative takes on the Southern classic from local restaurants, cast your vote for your favorite, and enjoy live music from Prettier Than Matt throughout the event.
Little Women The Musical | June 20–21
Experience a beloved classic through a new lens with Little Women: The Musical. Follow Jo March and her sisters as they navigate love, loss, ambition, and sisterhood in this heartfelt adaptation of the timeless story. Performances take place at the Koger Center for the Arts at 7:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., respectively. During intermission, enjoy light bites and beverages from Smoked.
Lake Murray Independence Day Celebration | July 4
Celebrate Independence Day at Lake Murray with a spectacular fireworks show beginning at 9:30 p.m. Fireworks will launch from both Spence Island and Dreher Island, creating a dazzling display over the lake. While the best views are from the water, nearby state and public parks also offer excellent viewing spots.
Salute From The Shore | July 4
Make your way down to South Carolina’s coastline for the 17th Annual Salute From the Shore. This beloved Independence Day tradition features military aircraft and vintage warbirds flying from Cherry Grove to Bluffton in honor of active-duty service members, veterans, and wounded warriors.
Pups and Pints | July 19
Ready to meet your new best friend? Pups & Pints is the perfect opportunity to find your next furry companion. Hosted by Columbia Animal Services, this monthly adoption event takes place at a local brewery and features waived adoption fees for all pets. Every dog is fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. If you plan to adopt, be sure to bring a collar and leash.
