Hope for every generation Through the eyes of children who are just beginning to see the world to the eyes of those that have lived through and seen it all, we are seeing hope emerge in Columbia. In Columbia, food brings us together. It brings us together inside of restaurants, on Saturday mornings on Main Street, outside of breweries, at tailgates in the fall, in our homes with our family and friends, and even on the city’s most iconic bridge for a beautiful seated supper of over 1,400 people.
When she finds a cause that she’s passionate about, Nephron Pharmaceuticals CEO Lou Kennedy doesn’t hold back. She dives in headfirst and begins brainstorming solutions and opportunities, she ignites conversations with decision-makers, and she is relentless in her pursuit of solving the issue.

Each July, families and friends gather up and down South Carolina’s coastline to celebrate Independence Day together. With their American flags, beach towels, patriotic-themed attire, and their favorite beach games, they flock to the shores to spend a day in the sand and in the sun.
