Cottontown Art Crawl | March 7
Come to Columbia’s historic Cottontown neighborhood for the annual Art Crawl! Plus, get food or drinks from the vendors or restaurants that dot the neighborhood!
The Secret Garden | March 13–29
Be sure to pay a visit to Town Theatre for a performance of the classic springtime musical, The Secret Garden. With themes of hope, renewal, and friendship, this is the perfect play to kick off the season!
St. Pat’s in Five Points | March 14
Columbia’s iconic St. Patrick’s Day festival is back with a star-studded lineup, featuring Grace Potter, Switchfoot, and more! Kick the day off with their community run, followed by the St. Pat’s Parade at 10 a.m. and plenty of festivities throughout the day.
Flock Fest at the State Museum | March 21
In conjunction with new exhibitions and displays on the fascinating birds of South Carolina and around the world, the State Museum is hosting an all-day event for the whole family. Mark your calendars to visit the museum for a day of fun learning that everyone will enjoy!
Soirée on State | March 21

Read Freely Fest | March 27–29
Returning for the second year in a row, this new Columbia tradition is bringing New York Times bestselling authors to Richland Library Main for discussions, book signings, and more fun, interactive activities. This festival is free and open to the public—you don’t even need a library card to attend.
Artista Vista | April 17–19
Explore an abundance of amazing art from local painters, sculptors, and more when you visit the Vista for their 34th annual Artista Vista event! Watch the region’s arts scene come to life before your eyes with this one-of-a-kind showcase of Midlands talent.
The Squirrels | April 17–May 2
Written by Robert Askins, this play explores economic inequality through the allegory of two groups of squirrels: the gray squirrels and the fox squirrels. Visit Trustus Theatre this spring and enjoy an unforgettable production!
